A native of Cleveland, Ohio. Julie relocated to Las Vegas in 2007. After attending Kent State University, she decided to travel the world and entered the travel industry, ultimately becoming an executive flight attendant. This position led her to flying celebrities, athletes and a former U.S. President and would relocate her to the entertainment capital of the world.
Julie caught the acting bug while in Las Vegas, which lead her to begin training in film acting and writing short films as class work . In August 2020 she was a contender and won The Best Woman Filmmaker at the Vegas Movie Awards film festival.
Julie is comfortable playing an array of characters.
Her most recent roles include a grandmother of a troubled young man in SAG action thriller DESERT DAWN, Directed by Marty Murray of Avatar, Power Book IV Force and starring Kellan Lutz of The Twilight Saga. A mother in SAG feature thriller film Co-written by Terrence Howard and wife Mira Pak Howard, SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET 2023. Distributed with Front Row Filmed Entertainment available on AMC Shudder Streaming. A Supervillain Las Vegas Madam in the feature film PIMPSTRESS distributed with Maverick Films which streams on Prime video, Roku, Vudu, TUBITV and more.
The sister of actor Ski Carr
of BET's The Family Business, in Latinx short film NOVENARIO nominated for several prestigious film festivals and ROGUE ANGELS feature film in post-production, where she contributed her talents as 1st. Assistant Director, actress and Co-Producer.
She has worked in over 40 commercials airing regionally and in Spanish speaking markets, Telemundo, a national Nutrisystem commercial alongside Marie Osmond, a current national T-Mobile commercial, as well as multiple print ads and voiceovers.
